The Øyfjell village museum has a rich collection of travelling wardrobes, costumes, rose paintings, household utensils and various spinning wheels.
Here you can see Norway’s second largest beer hen.

The museum building is very special.
Built in wedge-shaped granite, it was constructed in 1931 to stand forever.
The museum also has a courtyard with several older buildings.
Some of them house activities and exhibitions in season.
In 2022, a new café building opened in the courtyard.
